The People Behind FVF

Bishop Steve Brower
Founder & Bishop
After his dramatic salvation experience in 1986, Steve almost immediately began serving the Lord; first parking cars in the church parking lot, then ushering. He soon after founded a ministry to feed the needy called “Operation Oasis”, and then began “Free Indeed”, ministering to those bound by addictions, compulsions, and more.
Steve was ordained in 1994 after serving for eight years in these various capacities. He and his wife Roseann founded and began pastoring “Christ the Redeemer Church” of Shirley/Manorville NY in 1995. Steve then became the Senior Pastor of “Word of Life Ministries” in Freeport, NY in 2005, and has since founded “Faith & Victory Fellowship”, now in Massapequa, NY where he and his wife Roseann serve as Pastors today.
He has headed up local and regional ministers associations, and also traveled to Antigua, Israel, and Uganda, where he preached and witnessed God’s signs and wonders.
Steve had ministered under the ordination of Covenant Ministries International, founded by the late David T. Demola. Today, Steve is an ordained minister with the Church of God whose international headquarters are in Cleveland, Tennessee. Steve became ordained as a Bishop in the Church of God in 2023.
Roseann Brower
Pastor
Roseann was saved during the revival of the 1970s, experiencing God’s presence during a difficult season in her life. She soon began praying for her husband Steve’s salvation and saw those prayers answered when he came to faith in the mid-1980s.
Over the years, Roseann attended Bible school, taught in a Christian academy, served in various areas of ministry, and was ordained as a Pastor in 1994. She and her husband went on to pastor Christ the Redeemer Church in Shirley/Manorville and later served together at Word of Life Ministries in Freeport.
In 2013, Roseann and Steve founded Faith & Victory Fellowship, where they continue to serve and minister in Massapequa, New York.
Roseann has also authored Victorious Living in Perilous Times and has a heart for encouraging others to grow in faith and experience victory through Christ.
She is the mother of three grown children; Alison, Stephen, and Paul, all of whom serve in the ministry as well. She is also the proud Grandmother of Alexis.
Stephen Brower
Lead Pastor
Stephen was raised in a Christian home as the son of two pastors, where he was taught strong values and to put God first. Although faith surrounded him from childhood, it would become deeply personal later in his life.
During his late teens and early twenties, Stephen struggled with substance addiction for nearly ten years. His life changed when he embraced the grace of God and committed himself fully to a new beginning in Christ.
Despite those challenges, Stephen earned his degree and became a certified teacher. He later brought his education and experience into his work as a behavioral consultant, serving children and young adults with special needs.
Stephen’s ministry began simply—with a willingness to serve wherever he was needed. From operating the overhead projector and recording services to making weekly announcements, he continued to grow in service and leadership. Today, Stephen serves as Lead Pastor of Faith & Victory Fellowship Church of God, alongside his wife, Adriane, who serves as Worship Pastor.
His story is a testimony to what God can do through a humble heart, a willingness to serve, and a faithful God.
Adriane Velasquez Brower
Worship Pastor
Adriane was raised in a Christian home by musically gifted parents who nurtured her love of music from an early age. Her father was a trained opera singer, and her mother a pianist and vocalist. After years of singing in church, Adriane discovered her passion for contemporary praise and worship.
In 2009, Adriane became Worship Leader at Word of Life Ministries in Freeport, New York. It was there that she married Stephen Brower, an old high school acquaintance. When Faith & Victory Fellowship Church of God was founded in 2013, Adriane served from the very beginning as Worship Leader and today serves as the church’s Worship Pastor in Massapequa.
Her journey is also the fulfillment of something her parents saw long before she did. Both had prophetic visions of Adriane one day becoming a pastor’s wife—and a pastor herself. God is faithful.
Pastor Adriane pours her heart into leading others in praise and worship, with deep gratitude to the Lord for all He has done and all that is still to come.
